1. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we delete the account and the associated personal data without undue delay. If you believe a minor is using the Service, please contact [email protected].

2. Personal data we collect

2.1. Data you give us: email address, password (stored in hashed form), date of birth or age confirmation, gender, country and city, profile description, interests, photos you upload, and the content of your messages with other users.
2.2. Consent and agreement records: who invited whom, whether an invitation was accepted, declined or withdrawn, and when. These records exist so that we can operate the consent-first model and demonstrate, if needed, that contact was agreed to or refused.
2.3. Data collected automatically: IP address, device type and operating system, browser type and language, approximate location derived from the IP address, pages viewed, session times and actions in the Service.
2.4. Data from third parties: if you register or log in through a third-party provider (for example a social login), we receive the basic profile data you authorise that provider to share, such as your name, email address and profile picture.
2.5. Support and reports: the content of messages you send to us, including reports about other users or content.

We do not require and do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health, religious or political information) or biometric data.

3. How and why we use personal data

We use personal data to:
create and manage your account and provide the Service;
show your profile to other users and suggest possible matches;
manage invitations to connect, mutual agreements, refusals and withdrawals, and enforce them;
enable private messaging, blocking and reporting;
verify that you are 18 or older and keep the community safe;
detect, review and remove prohibited content and prevent fraud and abuse;
respond to your requests, complaints and reports;
send service messages, and, with your consent, newsletters or offers that you can unsubscribe from at any time;
measure and improve the performance, usability and security of the Service;
comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:
performance of a contract to provide the Service you registered for, including the consent-first contact features;
legitimate interests to keep the Service secure, to moderate content, to enforce refusals and withdrawals, to prevent abuse and to improve our services, balanced against your rights;
consent for marketing communications, certain cookies and any optional features; you may withdraw consent at any time;
legal obligation for accounting, tax, law enforcement requests and the reporting of illegal content.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (login sessions, security, load balancing) and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies to measure traffic and show relevant ads. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings or through our cookie banner at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from working properly. We do not use cookies to serve adult or pornographic advertising.

6. Sharing data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, cloud storage, email delivery, analytics, customer support, payment processing), bound by data processing agreements;
other users, to the extent you make your profile and content visible to them, and to the extent an agreement to connect exists;
authorities, courts or regulators, where required by law or necessary to investigate illegal content, fraud or threats to safety;
a buyer or successor, in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and additional technical and organisational measures.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary: account data while your account is active and for a short period after deletion to comply with legal obligations and to resolve disputes; consent and refusal records for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance and to prevent repeat abuse; support and report records for as long as needed to handle the matter; log data for a limited period for security purposes. After the retention period, data is deleted or anonymised.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit, password hashing, access controls, logging and regular reviews to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your privacy rights

10.1. Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the EU/EEA) or with the relevant authority in your country.
10.2. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) have the right to know what personal information is collected, used or disclosed; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
10.3. To exercise your rights, email [email protected] or write to the postal address above. We respond within the time limits set by applicable law, normally within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm your identity.
10.4. You can access, correct or delete most of your data directly in your account settings, and you can withdraw an agreement to connect at any time in the conversation itself.

11. Automated decisions

We use automated tools to detect prohibited content, spam and fake accounts. These tools may restrict the visibility of content or flag an account for human review. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you.

12. Third-party links and services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrations. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies before providing personal data.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update. Material changes are announced on the website or by email.
